Bihar Mahavir Temple
This sacred temple is greatly devoted to Bhagwan Shiva’s incarnation, Lord Hanuman. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman is the only incarnation who still exists in this mat eristic world in physical form. The temple is also placed as second highly visited sacred temple in northern part of India. The local Mahavir temple trust also has the second biggest budget in northern India after renowned shrine of Maa Vaishnodevi. As per the record the total earning of a day of this Mahavir temple is usually more than one Lakh a day.
History
The construction of Mahavir temple is still unknown. There is no evidence when it was constructed at first time. However, Mahavir Mandir or temple came into lime light when Hindu refugees came to city of Patna after India-Pakistan partition. Hence, this temple was reconstructed as a small temple during partition time. However, in the year of 1987, Mahavir temple was demolish to rebuild a big marble temple. The main deity of the temple is, of course, Shri Sankat Mochan or Lord Hanuman. Due to its religious significances, devotees all around the country gather here on every Tuesday and Saturdays which are considered as the typical days of worshiping Sankat Mochan. Moreover, on the religious festival of Rama Navami, devotees come here in big number that creates long queues of few kilometers long.
The temple is managed by Mahavir a temple trust which is also called as Shri Mahavira Sasthan Nyasa Samiti. Moreover, the temple trusts also works for welfare organizations such as Mahavir Vatsalya clinic, Mahavir cancer Sansthana ad Mahanira Arogya clinic. Apart from that the temple trust also runs various orphanages throughout Bihar state.

By Road
Being a capital city of Bihar, Patna is well connected with all other important cities or towns of the country by developed roads. So if devotees or visitors like to use road-transport then they can easily find government as well as private owned buses or vehicles throughout the city.
By Rail
Devotees or visitors can also reach at the temple by using Indian railway. Stated below is the detail about nearest railheads –
Patna junior railway station only 1 km,
Sachiwalay halt railway station also 1 km
and Phulwani Sharif railway station about 4 km distance from Mahavir Temple.
By Air
Patna airport only 3 km, Gaya airport around 108 km and Gorakhpur airport about 235 km are the nearest airports in the state.
Weather and Time to Visit
The climate of Patna city ranges from 28 degree Celsius to 44 degree Celsius in summer and from 14 degree Celsius to 32 degree Celsius in winter. Hence the best time to visit as per climate should be during the months of October to March. However, devotees or visitors can also visit on religious festivals such as Rama Navami and Bada Mangal.
