Jaipur city is the city which was carefully planned since its inception. It is the Capital of Rajasthan and is known as the city of Rajputs and Maharajas. Famous for beautiful Jewellery markets, Jaipur is the place where many people plan their weddings and is increasingly getting famous as a Royal wedding destination.

Jaipur sits on the eastern part of Rajasthan. It has been read in many books that Jaipur city has been planned as per the Vastu Shastra and that is the reason that it is called as one of the planned cities of India. Jaipur is a relatively hot city since it’s surrounded by deserted areas. Jaipur witnesses three seasons. Local people face extremely hot sun during summers and in winters crackling cold. Jaipur is the very important part of Rajasthan tourism. Population of Jaipur as per census 2011 was 66, 63,971 of which the male population is 34, 90,787 and female population is 31, 73,184.

During summer season, which last from Mid-March to June, the temperature resolves around f 45°C. People of Jaipur are not lucky in terms of enjoying monsoon as it does not get much rain. Only in the month of July it gets thunder showers. They get some relief from the wrath of the hot Sun during winters. Winter season, considered to be the best time to visit Jaipur by tourists, is extremely cold. From October to March this city is covered with fog and the city looks beautiful. So this is the time when Jaipur gets the maximum footfall of tourists.

The exterior and interior of Jaipur was made by many architects and few of the best architects were involved in building this beautiful city. Jaipur was found by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 7127 . Vidyadhar Bhattacharya who was the scholar of Bengal, Jaipur city was built under his guidance. Not only he took care of architectural aspects of it but also helped in designing many other buildings in the capital. He was the face behind designing of the famous Royal palace.

The overall literacy rate in Jaipur is 69.80% across the district. Female literacy is not highly encouraged in the city as only 55.52% females are literate as compared to 82.80% males. The languages that are used commonly in Jaipur are English, Punjabi and Sindhi. Jaipur’ economy runs majorly on the exports of diamonds and jeweler also metal industry is also widely relied on.

There are people in Jaipur who have an artistic pursuit and are encouraged to participate in different cultural activities that take place across the state. Since Jaipur city is built on the traditional guidelines of Shilpa Shastra, the traditional festivals are also celebrated with the same enthusiasm. It has serves of cuisines but Dal Baati Churma, Missi Roti are some of the world known dishes of Jaipur. Jaipur boasts of some high class education institutes and universities that are getting increasingly sought after among people all over India. Large chunk of students are migrating to Jaipur for higher studies as Jaipur has world class educational facilities and are well connected to the industries in the city to impart practical knowledge among students.
