Superfast
The Indian Railways has a large number of passenger trains that are called as the Superfast Mail /Express trains . These trains have a better speed than ordinary Mail / Express trains and they have a smaller number of stops. Trains with average speed of 55 kms per hour or more fall in this category. These are also slightly more expensive than ordinary trains because of the ‘superfast’ levy charged over and above the Mail/Express charge.

- AC First Class with Coupe(Two Berths) or Cabin(4 Berths) lockable.
- Non AC First Class with Coupe(Two Berths) or Cabin(4 Berths) lockable.

- AC Three-Tier with open cabin having 6 Berths +2 Berths on the side having curtains for privacy
- Non AC Three-Tier with open cabin having 6 Berths +2 Berths on the side also called the Sleeper Class
