The Government of Rajasthan provides local people with road and transport facilities in the state of Rajasthan through the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC).
On October 1st 1964, the first RSRTC bus depot was set up at Bharatpur. The headquarters of the RSRTC were established in Jaipur. It has more than 54 bus depots with more than 5000 buses. Three bus depots are established outside the state at Delhi, Ahmadabad, and Indore. More than 1 million passengers travel daily using the services of RSTRC.
The Road Transport provider operates in more than 48 depots within the state and operates over more than 1.5 million Kms route. More than one million passengers travel daily on state transport buses. RSTRC has more than 13000 service counters at various places in the state to ensure the smooth running of the bus services. Interstate services are also provided with the buses running connecting various states such as Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat. The bus services include various types of buses that include deluxe and semi-deluxe buses. Special bus services are run between Jaipur and Delhi that include super deluxe services as well as air-conditioned services. Another major feature of RSTRC’s services is that the buses are changed after every seven years so that the fleet is maintained to optimum mark. RSTRC has made sure that its policies are customer centric. Senior citizens are also given discounts. Discounts are also available to families of martyr’s, and physically disabled.
