The creation of the Forward Bloc was declared publicly at a rally in the city of Calcutta. Bose had said that all those who joined, they were supposed to never turn their back to British and had to fill the form of pledge by cutting their finger as well as doing their signature with their blood. At the outset, there were seventeen young girls who turned up to sign the pledge form. Subhas Chandra Bose
Subhas Chandra Bose also called as Netaji was one of the major Indian nationalist leaders who made attempts to liberate Indians from British rule at the tough times and the waning World War II years.
Subhash Chandra Bose, who ousted from the Indian National Congress in the year 1939 after having differences with a more conservative high command, and was then further placed under a house arrest by British, had an escape from India in the year 1941. He took help form the Axis powers in getting and gaining independence of India by force. Having a Japanese endorsement, he made the Indian National Army, which had Indian soldiers from the British Indian army who were trapped by the Japanese in the Battle of Singapore. When the war became against them, the Japanese people came to support various countries to create provisional governments in the regions which were captured, and included those in Burma, Vietnam, the Philippines and the Azad Hind Provisional Government, presided by Subhash Chandra Bose. His attempts, however, did not last for long, in the year 1945, the army of British initially halted and then had reversed the Japanese U Go offensive, starting the successful section of the campaign of Burma. The Indian National Army of Bose was turned down in the Malay Peninsula, and had to surrender because of recapturing of Singapore. The reports said that Bose lost his life soon thereafter because of the third degree burns he got after attempting to run away from an overloaded Japanese plane which was crashed in Taiwan, however there are discrepancies as there are no evidences for such an incident. In the late 1945, the trials of the INA soldiers done at Red Fort, Delhi, got huge public response in India.
