Jharkhand Ajsu Party

Introduction

In the state of Jharkhand, All Jharkhand Indian Union is a political party in the state itself, which came into existence in 1986 on June 22, which was structured in line with All Assam Students Union. It was because that the AJSU founders were dissatisfied with political parties which were existing in Jharkhand and they sought more agitations of militant nature. These were more active in Santhan Pargana such as Deoghar, Dumka and Godda.

Under the AJSU, many strikes were organized as part of their campaign to not cooperate in 1989 general Lok Sabha elections. But in 1990, the party was not thinking more rationally and gave out candidates for elections of state assembly of bihar, using symbol of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Presently, the AJSU fights elections using the party name.

In elections of Lok Sabha in 2004, the party went into alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party

Sudesh Mahto is the AJSU president, which is also Jharkhand’s home minister.

Before the 2005 elections of state assembly of Jharkhand, AJSU cut off from NDA, led by BJP party and allied with Lok Janashakti Party.

History

AJSU is a young party, although it has built a strong base in the country in 25 years of its existence. The party was set up in 1986 on June 22, in the city of Jamshedpur, under the constitution of the Jharkhand State which says an agreement can be reached with an aim for progressive exploitation, where the purpose is claimed and without conflict. The party presented a new direction for the general public. The politics of elections were set aside and there was intensification of conflict. In a matter of years, the movement in Jharkhand assumed national recognition. As a result of this, the government of India recognized the state of Jharkhand as a separate unit with its own government.

Sudesh Mahto

Sudesh Mahto belongs to the AJSU party and is a prominent leader and is a known politician of India. He was brought into the cabinet fold of ministry of Arjun Munda, and on 29th December of 2009, he went on to become a Cabinet Minister in Jharkhand. He is presently the Deputy Chief Ministers of the State, and a number of ministries are under him such as Panchayati Raj & NREP, Rural Development, Water Resources, Rural works, Arts Culture Sports & Youth Affairs and Forest & Environment.

He was elected from the constituency of Silli Vidhan Sabha.
