Nayagarh, is a district on eastern side of the state of Odisha. The district is a newly formed district in the year 1995, which was by splitting the district of Puri into three districts. Nayagarh was one of them. Nayagarh is surrounded by Puri, Cuttak, Phulbani, Ganjam and Khurda districts. The District is located at 19° 54’ to 20° 32' North latitude and 84° 29' to 85° 27' East longitude.

The rivers that flow through the district include Mahanadi, Brutanga, Kusumi, Malaguni

• Ladukeswar Temple: Ladukeswar temple known popularly as Ladu Baba. The place is 13Kms from Nayagarh town. The place is crowded by people during Mahashivaratri.
• Raghunathjeu Temple: Raghunathjeu temple, situated at Odagaon is dedicated Lord Sree Ram. Most of the pilgrims visit the place during Sriramnavmi.
• Kantilo Nilamdhabha Temple: Situated in kantilo, the temple is dedicated to Lord Nilamdhabha
• Daspalla Forests: The forests near Daspalla are famous for the kind of animals found here. A dam called Kuanria dam has been constructed here which is a tourist attraction in the place.

Satokosia Gorge Sanctuary:

The sanctuary is a haven for flora and fauna. The place has not been touched by human civilization. Wild animals such as Sambar, barking deer, wild boar, leopards, Royal Bengal Tigers live here. The place is also known for King Cobras as well.
