August 15 is celebrated Independence Day in the country. Republic Day
Indian Constitution was brought into force on January 26, 1950 to symbolize it Republic country ruled freely. With this new initiative India became completely Sovereign Socialist Democratic Republic to be ruled through its preamble under parliamentary government system. Constituent Assembly of India adopted new constitution post thorough discussions for adoption of new law. It was a new dawn for the country where democratic governance system was introduced. January 26 is celebrated as republic day of India and is recognized for greater value and celebration. It is declared national holiday to celebrate countrywide festival. Purpose of celebrating this day is to keep Indian citizens abreast of the generous contributions of Indian martyrs who freed India. Gandhi Jayanti
Whole country celebrates 2nd October as Bapu’s birthday which is wholly celebrated as birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi—the great leader respected as Father of the Nation. It is a day when each and every Indian citizen is reminded to know about his contributions for world peace and most notably his sacrifices that changed the scenario of India and finally led for its freedom for the British rule. The British colonial rule ended due to the idea of non-violence. His life reminds the great contributions of a visionary leader and inspires future generations to believe in peace and brotherhood for better future. His incessant contribution to uplift the untouchables in the country particularly “Harijans” remained too much impactful like his extensive role in the “Quit India Movement,” that finally brought India free from the British rule.
