Kareng Ghar or Talatal Ghar is historical masterpiece that previously provided the same as the armed location of the kings of Ahom. The constructions were made for the period of 1696 to 1714 via the well-known king Rudra Singha. The structural glory of the constitution catches the attention of many visitors and analyzers each year.
Kareng Ghar is a seven-story construction. Though the three levels that are below the land are known as Talatal Ghar, the remaining levels over the land level are renowned as the Kareng Ghar. Two underground passageways are present in the Talatal Ghar.
The Kareng Ghar & Talatal Ghar of Assam is positioned extremely near to the Sibsagar city. This chronological city was the capital of the authoritative kings of the renowned Ahom reign. History
Swargadeo Rudra Singha transferred the capital of the Ahom empire from Garhgaon to Rangpur in the period of 1702-03 A.D. Rangpur stayed as the Capital for a century. It is situated in the west zone of the Sibsagar municipality. The initial structure was completed through Swargadeo Rudra Singha in the period of 1698 A.D. Rangpur was not just the capital of the Ahom empire although the armed-station as well.
Architecture
Once Swargadeo Rudra Singha demise, the fort went in the course of several changes giving it an unequal figure. However there were lots of changes through construction, the current multi-storied fortress, Talatal Ghar, was made by Swargadeo Rajeswar Singha in the period of 1751-1769 A.D.

Rang Ghar
