Dimapur (Nagaland) is known for kachari ruins. The history reveals that they came into sight in tenth century during the civilization of kachari. The kachari ruins is a chain of mushroom domed pillars .they were given their shape by the kachari kingdom. Who had ruled here very long time and disappeared after the arrival of Nagas. Their purpose and origin was highly strange. The dome shaped pillars are not well maintained. Although some of the pillars are still stand but others crushed down. This is the opinion of the historians that a game like chess was played under the mushroom like domes.

Diezephe Craft Village

Diezephe village is very famous for its handicraft and handlooms. The inhabitants of this village are from Tenyimei community. A lot of workshops related with handicrafts and handloom are arranged in the village .there is a community workshop in this village named as craft and development society inaugurated on November 16th 2001. One wooden toy project has also been launched in this village. The village is located 13 KM far from Dimapur.

Chumukedima

Chumukedima is an olden village which is situated in the district headquarters of Dimapur. It is on the foothills of Naga Hills, the composite part of the village was established by tourism department. The village is very popular for numerous waterfalls. It has also been said that during the British rule in 19th century the village paid its services as the headquarters of the Naga Hills district.

Zoological Park

Zoological garden is at the distance of 6 KM from dimapur stretches an area of about 434.90 acres. It was established on august 28, 2008 with the purpose to extend the attentiveness about the flora and fauna. It has been the conservation center for the whole northern region of India.
