Rajasthan Siliserh Lake Alwar
Siliserh Lake is just 13 kilometers away from the city of Alwar in Rajasthan. It houses a lake palace. There are many important places nearby. Most of the visitors treat it as a stopover on the way to Sariska Tiger Reservoir.
History
This 7 Sq kilometer lake has been constructed in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh for the people of Alwar. His aim was to provide enough drinking water to the people living in Alwar and in nearby areas. He also built a Lake Palace there for her Wife Sita Devi. At present the hotel has been functioning as a hotel.

Siliserh Lake attracts many visitors with its beauty. It is considered an ideal place for Eco tourism by many visitors. Surrounding hills and the greenery offer a good scope for nature photography too. There are many places in the nearby areas which are worth visiting. Many people make it a combined trip keeping those places too in their schedules. Ajabgarh, a temple town which houses the famous RanghnathJi Temple is near to this lake. Tijara, the historic town which houses a large fort is another attraction which is about 48 kilometers away from Alwar. Vijay Mandir Palace, an architectural wonder of yesteryears and the Sariska National Park which includes Sariska Tiger Reserve are the other nearby attractions.
How to Reach
Alwar is very near to the state capital Jaipur and well connected with Jaipur and Delhi by road and rail. Once you reached Alwar, you can take the service of local taxis or rickshaws to visit these places. The city has enough infrastructures to content large crowds.
