Pamban Island
Pamban Island also called Rameswaram Island is based between Sri Lanka and Indian peninsula. This island is significant part of India and forms a bit of Rameswaram part which is a district of India’s state Tamil Nadu. The main town of this island is a pilgrimage destination Rameswaram. The island has length of 2 kilometres to 7 kilometres while the entire area is of 67 square kilometres.

Air – Madurai is the nearby airport to Pamban Island. There are regular flights which fly to Madurai. From Madurai, you can then take a taxi and reach the island. Train – If you love travelling by train, then take train from any corner of India for Chennai. Upon reaching Chennai, take another train to Pamban Island. It takes 1.45 to 2 hours in train journey to reach from Chennai to Pamban Island. Road – Pamban Island is very well connected to Chennai via road. There are regular buses which run from Chennai. Infact there are Volvo buses which provide relaxing and comfortable journey.
