Foreman Training Institute Bangalore
The Foremen Training Institute or FTI was founded in Bangalore by the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET) under the Ministry of Labor and Employment in the year 1968 as a joint effort with State of Baden Wurttemberg of Germany. The institute campus in Bangalore stretches to an area of 35 acres which houses tate of the art workshops, lecture halls, laboratories, training hardware and machines and an excellent training faculty.

The Long term courses offered at the FTI, Bangalore are of the length of two semesters only applicants with a valid diploma are eligible. The courses are:

Campus Facilities
Hostels
The FTI has two separate hostels for long term and short term course students which are named as Cauvery and Krishna. Each hostel is well furnished and is fitted with a water heater operated on the solar heating systems. There is a single mess for students, catering their meals two times a day. The Hostels are very affordable and the fees is often compensated is the students are sponsored by the industry.
Library
The FTI library is a small but comprehensive library that has almost 10,000 books and reference materials that may be needed by the students and faculty members. The range of subjects is from all fields of engineering and the various management subjects. The operations of the library has been semi-automated by the use of computerization and special software.
