Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji
Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji is located ideally in the heart of Delhi. After the rising and immense popularity of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1708, Mata Sahib Devan and Mata Sundari actually continued to reside in New Delhi. For approximately three decades both Mata Sahib Devan and Mata Sundari guided Sikh community residing in small groups and clusters around their sacred places in Punjab and adjoining areas. Both these ladies used to organize political and religious leadership of the Sikh community. Their personal attributes of commendable leadership and spiritual authority taken from Guru Gobind Singh Ji actually motivated Sikh community to tackle state terrorism and elaborate persecutions in Delhi and Punjab.
For some years both Mata Sahib Devan and Mata Sundari stayed in Dilwali Singhan close to Ajmeri Gate in Delhi. Moreover, the actual home of the pious mother was called Matya Mahal. During the critical time of June 1725 Mata Sahib Devan and Mata Sundari shifted to Mathura for three years. However, from 1927 both holy mothers stayed in a new building known as Mata Sundari's Haveli. Today, the same Haveli is called Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji. Mata Sundari stayed at this place till the rest of her life. Both holy ladies provided immense spiritual and moral strength to Sikh community during the invasion by Mughals in India.

It has been advised to visit Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji during winter or rainy season. The climate during winter season is very favorable for travelling. On the other hand, you should avoid visiting Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji during summer season. It can get extremely hot and dry during summer season. It is better to explore Gurudwara Shri Mata Sundri Ji with your family members or friends during winter season. However, January can get very uncomfortable due to severe cold wave.
