Gurudwara Shri Gwarighat Sangat Jabalpur
The founder of Sikhism Sri Guru Nanak Devji had visited to various places in order to spread his message and thus undertook his journey in four different directions from Punjab. During 1501, the Guru travelled to East and Southern part of India and while returning, he and his associate Mardana walked through the North east side of Narmada River till reaching the Jabalpur area and thus crossed the river. This famous Gurudwara is placed at Gwarighat, a famous place on the river side of Narmada in the Jabalpur City in Madhya Pradesh and thus presents a glittering look around. The Guru also had through his preaching and blessings reformed and changed the minds of various criminals and thieves by the Narmada river side.

The most famous Guruparab of HolaMahlla (Holi) is observed and celebrated with great enthusiasm and people gather here well before the festival. The Birth anniversary of Guru Amardas Ji is also celebrated here with reverence and enthusiasm. Also, Sundays can be seen as a great day wherein Akhand Patth Bhog is arranged and several devotees of Sikh religion and also others gather here, to pray and get blessed by listening to the Guru Granth Sahib's holy verses. The famous Guruparab of HolaMahila (Holi) is observed with much enthusiasm and also the Parkash Utsav, the birth anniversary of Guru Amardas ji. It is also believed that due to decline in Dharma and invasions of Babar which had made situations more bad, God was moved by these acts and sent his disciple to comfort the people from their sufferings and save them from agony. Thus came Guru Nanak ji, to save the struggling human, who took a long tour of the country both in and outside India, which extended for over three decades.
Narmada is believed to be a sacred place where many saints live in peace and in the memory of the Guruji, a Gurudwara was built. The left side of river is adorned with the Gurudwara Gwarighat Panth Prakash in symbol of the Guruji's enlightening the masses and Sant Tulsa Singh Ji had served this Gurudwara for a very long time and after him, Jabalpur Sikh Sangat formed a committee which started doing services to the Gurudwara. A big hall welcomes the pilgrims visiting the place and Guruji's food awaits the visitors, which is provided daily and their hospitality is worth mentioning.
