Champakulam Kalloorkadu Church
St. Mary Forane Champakulam Kalloorkadu Cathedral is historical Religious Cathedral in Kerala. It connected to Syro Malabar Cathedral under archeparchy of the Changanacherry. This is the Forane church, and with several Parishes that are under it.
This is known as the Valia Champakulam Palli, and one of earliest Religious chapels in Indian and mom church of the almost all Syrian Catholic chapels at Alleppey Region. St. Mary’s Champakulam Cathedral is considered as one of 7 recognized through St. Johnson. The yearly food on this church drops on 3rd Weekend of Oct every season. The food of St. John is famous on Nineteenth March.
History
St. Mary's Champakulam Kalloorkadu Forane Cathedral (also known as Valia Champakulam Palli) has been one of earliest Religious chapels in Indian and mom church of almost Catholic Syrian chapels at Alleppey Region. This is considered as recognized in the AD 427. Renewed many periods and many stone identities discovered around churches tells us the record of church. The start air Rock Combination at this Champakulam church has been one of most historical ones with obvious certification of antiquity up till AD 1151. There have been many historical relics discovered around the churches about its record. Champakulam church had been once under this Niranam Cathedral, which was recognized by this Apostle St. Johnson himself. Champakulam Cathedral was having very helpful interaction with Jacobite Syrian team along with had critical part in countless ecumenical initiatives in 18th millennium.

Feast of Mother Mary / Marian apparition
This Food of Apparition takes eleven times of the pious festivities and indicates on Weekend following 15 Oct.
Commemoration of the Death of St. Joseph
This is the 'Shradham- Chatham' performed in commemoration and of the loss of life of St. John is organised on March 19 every season. It draws a large number of enthusiasts to Kalloorkadu Cathedral from the far of locations.

SABS was established on 1908 8 Dec at Champakulam in the Kerala. It had its source in individual expertise of Eucharistic existence of slave of God Johnson Kurialacherry (1873 till 1925) its 1st bishop of the Changanacherry.
