Welcome to Andamans, A State of India
Andaman and Nicobar islands are situated in Indian Ocean and this group of islands is also a Union Territory of India. Island is formed by two groups of islands Andaman (550) is the northern region and Nicobar (22) is the southern region. Capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands is Port Blair and other famous cities are Car Nicobar, Ferrargunj, Nancowrie. It consists of three districts which are further divided into taluks (subdivisions). Andaman and Nicobar islands are famous for their timber wood which is used for commercial purpose to produce wood ornaments and furniture. Agriculture and Small scale industries are the popular occupation on these islands.
