Jaipur Zoo

Located in the historic city of Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan, the Jaipur Zoo is located in the beautiful Ram Niwas Garden. This isa also famous as the best Crocodile breeding Centre in the country. The Jaipur Zoo houses a large number of Varieties and species of both Flora and Fauna, that assuredly will keep the visitor glued to the premises.

History

The Jaipur Zoo was founded in 1877 at Jaipur,  in Ram Niwas Garden. Two sections were carved out- one for mammals and the other for Birds and Reptiles. They have 71 species of Birds and Animals in this Zoo

Animals

This Zoo is well known for its variety of ferocious animals, and is home to a large variety of the most beautiful and rare species of Birds from all over the world. While the Migratory Birds  such as Pelicans, Painted Storks , Black necked Storks, White Ibis and Cranes,that gravitate here in the winter months can be seen in abundant numbers during the season, a separate section also houses ducks, goose, white peacock, chattering lorry, parrot and pheasant.

Visit timing

Visitors are allowed on all days of the week except Tuesdays  between 8.30am and 5.30 pm during summers and 9 am and 5 pm in winter months.
