Amongst all the districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Sharanpur lies to the extreme north. It is located on the foothills of Shivalik range in the northern portion of the region of Doab. The district is mainly an agricultural area. Wheat, Paddy are the chief crops cultivated in this district.
