Tamilnadu Sri Lakshmi Kubera Temple
The sacred Sri Lakshmi Kubera temple is famous for its architecture. However, it is a newly built temple in the district Chennai but very famous among the follower of Lord Kubera. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Kubera is the God of wealth. The temple covers an area of about 4,000 square feet. Moreover, the cost of the temple construction is about 30 lakh. Basically, Lord Kubera is worshipped here, however an idol of Goddess Lakshmi is also installed in the temple.
History
The renowned Sri Lakshmi Kubera temple was constructed by Kubera Trust. The main objective of constructing the temple is to offer a place to worship lord Kubera. According to Hindu mythology, once Lord Kubera visited the Kailash Parvat to worship Lord Shiva wherein he saw goddess Parvathi and was mesmerized by her beauty. He thought that he should have worshiped Goddess Parvathi. However, Goddess Parvathi thought that Kubera had bad intention. Hence, she burst Kubera's eyes. Now, Kubera requested Lord Shiva that he was innocent. So, lord Shiva told Parvathi to help him and Goddess Parvathi gave him a new eye which is a bit small than his old eye.
Weather and time to visit
Chennai city enjoys the tropical climate condition, it means during the summer it becomes hot and humid while in winter it becomes cold. Hence, the best time to get there is from the month of March to October.
