Tamilnadu Balasubramaniaswami Temple
The renowned Balasubramaniaswami temple is considered among the most visited sacred temples in district Namakkal. The presiding deity in the temple is lord Balasubramaniaswami who is believed to be one of the incarnations of Lord Sri Vishnu. The temple is famous for its special rituals. The temple structure is divided into two sections, first one is middle section and second one is exterior section. Moreover, inside the middle section, a magnificent idol of Lord Balasubramaniaswami is placed.
History
The sacred Balasubramaniaswami temple was constructed during 12th of century by an unknown dynasty. Later this temple was renovated by various Hindu kings especially Chola rulers. This temple is not only famous for its religious and mythological significances but also for its amazing architecture. According to a popular legend, once a sage called Narayanaswami visited here. He was a great follower of Lord Balasubramaniaswami, hence he worshiped god here. It is said that the saint performed his penance at this place and was granted ultimate salvation. Moreover, during the festival time, followers of Lord Balasubramaniaswami gather here to have blessings of the God.

Like all other cities in the state of Tamilnadu, Alavaippatti town has also tropical climate condition. Hence, during summer, the temperature rises to maximum 43 degree Celsius while in winter, the temperature may drop down to minimum 9 degree Celsius. Remember, monsoon normally starts in the month of July. So, if you want to visit at Balasubramaniaswami temple then you need to visit from the month of March to October.
