The Sanwaliaji Temple is a famous Hindu temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Located on Chittorgarh – Udaipur Highway in the town of Mandaphia, this temple is acknowledged as second to the temple located in Nathdwara which has principal deity of Lord Shrinathji.
This temple is named after Sanwaria Seth who was well known for his chamatkar. It is said that he is taken as a partner in the business owing to its successful venture while the profit that is gained is shared with this deity.
History
The history of this temple dates back to 250 years back.
In the year 1840, the famous name Gujjar milkman Kivdntion Bholram from Badsodha saw a strange dream of discovering 3 idols of Lord Krishna if he dug the ground. While he was digging the ground, he found these 3 idols which resembled the ones that he saw in his dreams. These idols looked very pleasant while are now placed in the temple. The idols are of Lord Krishna playing the flute. Of three idols, one was placed in the mandapia village, where a temple was constructed and this idol was placed. The other idol was taken to Bhadsodha village, where one more temple was established while the third idol was placed in a temple built at the place from it originated.
Thousands of people visit here and pay homage to this temple. This temple is well known to fulfill the wishes of the people who visit here with pure hearts.

The Sanwaliaji Temple is popular for having the black idol of Lord Krishna which is located in the town of Mandapia, Rajasthan. Presently going under the construction activity, this temple is also called Sanwaria Seth Temple as it was owing to his dream that he started digging the ground and found three black idols of Lord Krishna playing flute. Seth Swaraiya is said to be one of the avatars of Lord Krishna.

Chittorgarh basically is acknowledged for having dry climate. The summer season experiences temperature that ranges from 23 to 44 degree Celsius. And it is because of this that the tourists avoid visiting during the months of April and May. The monsoon season during the months from June to September have little rainfall which makes the place very humid. But if the rainfall is good then visiting the place is must as the Menal’s waterfall is a feast to eyes.
Coming to the winter season, the temperature ranges from 14 to 28 degree Celsius from December to February while is acknowledged with pleasant climate which is best for the tourists to visit. For visiting the Sanwaliaji Temple one must attend the Mangal aarti which is held at 5.30 am, Rajbhog aarti and Prasad is held from 10 am to 11.15 am. You can then visit the temple again in the evening from 8 am to 11 pm.

The trust of Sanwaliaji Temple has constructed many guest houses which can be used by the devotees and the pilgrims. These guest houses are well furnished while are well equipped with beds, pillows, bed sheets, furniture etc. The rooms are well lit and have hygienic washroom attached to them.
You can either opt for an air conditioned room or for a non air conditioned room depending on your needs. The charges of this guest house are very nominal.
