Punjab Durgayana Temple Amritsar
The temple of Durgiana is located in the city of Amritsar and the name of temple is associated to Goddess Durga and at times the temple is also referred as the Lakshmi Narayan temple.
The temple was built in the year 1908 by Harsai Mal Kapoor and the structure of the temple is very similar to that of Sikh Golden Temple. The temple is situated very near to Lohgarh gate. The temple is also referred to as the silver temple as the temple doors have been carved out of silver. The other temples in the complex are Sita Mata temple and Bara Hanuma temple.

The city of Amritsar experiences both extreme summers and extreme winters. The maximum temperature during the summers goes as high as 49 degree Celsius. The months of the April to June are the months of summers and are extremely hot and visit to Amritsar should be avoided at this time. Moderate rains in the area are in the months from July to October. The winters are freezing and temperature goes as low as -4 degree Celsius to maximum of 18 degree Celsius in the months of November to March.
