Odisha Budharaja Temple
Budharaja is a small temple in the Sambalpur region of Orissa. The speciality of the temple lies in the concrete way of about 108 stairs leads to the Shiva temple on the top. The eastern part of the locality gets its name from the temple itself due to its closeness with the temple. It is an ancient temple that is a major destination for tourists.
Significance
The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. It features a Budharaja sculpture which is a mere manifestation of Lord Shiva. This is the shrine that is worshipped by all the devotees. During religious affairs like Mahashivaratri and Dussehra the devotees offer their prayers to the deity. Just besides the temple there is a provision for storing water on site, by the courtesy of the Public Health Department.
Best Time To Visit
It is a favourite tourist destination in the Sambalpur region and attracts hundreds of devotees across the country. There are no particular seasons for visiting and prayers are always welcome.
