Manipur Shri Hanuman Thakur Temple Of Mahabali Forest
The sacred idol of Lord Hanuman is beautifully carved out on a large stone. The shrine lies among the dense forest of Mahabali. The sacred shrine stands like a great momento of one of the Hinduism cult known as Ramanandi in the state of Manipur. It is said, the shrine is only sacred worship place which was constructed during the reign of King Garib Niwaj. During religious festival, devotees all around the state gather here to have blessings of Lord Hanuman.
History
This sacred Hindu worship place is constructed by Garib Niwaj, king of Manipur in the year of 1725 AD. It has been designed in hut-kind of Bengal state architecture. The sacred Mandapa of the shrine is situated before a temple premise displays the main structure of the temple. It is also covered with hemi-spherical dome structure and the sacred sanctum is raised like rectangular building structure above to roof. Moreover, double lotus structure is placed on roof top. Beautiful Kalashas are also embodied on the crown. Moreover, on the kalashas, there is also an important vase that holds amazing pinnacle with sacred Nilchakra. Hanuman Jayanti, a festival dedicated to lord Hanuman is greatly celebrated in the area. During the festival, devotees all over the neighbouring parts of the state gather here to have Darshan and blessings of Lord Hanuman.

Hence, from railway station, visitors or pilgrims can hire taxi, bus and cab to reach at Shri Hanuman Thakur temple which is situated only 54 km distance from railway station.

Imphal city is well connected all other parts of the state by developed roads. Hence, visitors or devotees can easily get road-transportation such as buses, cars and taxis to reach at the temple.
Weather and Time to Visit
The climate conditions of Imphal are very moderate during winters and summers. It means during summers temperature maximum rises to 35 degree Celsius while in winters it could drop down minimum subzero level. However, during monsoon, city enjoys consistent rainfalls thus not suggested to visit during this period. So the best time to visit at Shri Hanuman Thakur temple is from the month of September to April.
