Manipur Shri Gopinath Mandir
It is considered among one of the largest temple in the state. The temple has been designed in medieval style of Indian architecture. Moreover, the temple is also known for its great number of devotees, about ten Lakh pilgrims visit here every year.

History

The main attraction of the temple is its main deity Shri Gopinath. It is said that Shri Gopinath Mandir was built by king of Manipur when he saw an incredible dream. The mystical and spiritual aura of the temple attracts not only devotees but also visitors towards it. Various important Hindu festivals are greatly celebrated in the temple area. Hence, during the festival, it becomes a crowded place.

The nearest airport is situated at Imphal thus visitors can get direct flights to Imphal from various domestic airports in the country.

Weather and Time to Visit
Imphal city has changeable climate conditions. It means during the winters, it becomes cold and temperature dropping down to subzero level while in summers it becomes hot and scorching and temperature rises to 35 degree Celsius. However, monsoon in the city offer heavy rainfalls thus not perfect time to visit. So the best time to visit at Shri Gopinath Mandir or temple is from the month of September to April.
