Manipur Leimapokpam Keirungba Temple
This temple is a great piece of bricks-made structure which cannot be seen elsewhere in Imphal. The entire temple building is made of bricks. The temple is like a quadrangle cube that displays as rising from earth. However, its important pedestal does not appear above the earth. The temple has been designed in south direction. It is supported by hard three pillars and there is also one semicircular arch.
History
The important cornice has been designed by arranging various layers of hard bricks, by designing their important courses outward direction and then arranging an amazing slant to display by using flat bricks. Moreover, above this cornice there is helpful railing. The temple area is surrounded by lush green trees that make it very picturesque. Moreover, the Gabha Grihaa of the temple is square as well as the sanctum walls are embodied with wood doors. There is also a decorated gate through which visitors or pilgrims can enter into the temple. However, presently, this temple is not in use but visitors from all over the country visit here to discover its beauty and different kind of architecture. This temple is a specimen of Manipur style of architecture which cannot be found elsewhere in India.

By Road

By Rail
Some of the nearest railway stations are Jiribam railway station 93 km, Jirighat railway station 97 km and Daotuhaja railway station 102 km distance from Leimapokpam Keirungba temple.

Imphal municipal airport is the nearest airport that connects city to all other major cities of the country such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. Hence, from the airport, visitors or pilgrims can hire taxi, bus and car to reach at Leimapokpam Keirungba temple.
Weather and Time to Visit
Imphal city has very moderate climate conditions while in monsoon and summer. However, post winter and monsoon are chilly seasons. Hence, visitors can visit here during any season but the best time to get there is from the month of September to April.
Winter – from November to February, during this period temperature could drop down to subzero level. During winter, climate becomes foggy and cold, especially nights and mornings. However, days are really favourable and pleasing for various visitors’ activities.
Summer – from April to June, during this period, temperature rises from 17 to 35 degree Celsius. During summer, city becomes hot and scorching.
Monsoon – from July to September, during this period, consistent heavy rainfall is quite normal in the city. Hence, visitors need not to visit during Monsoon.
