Maharashtra Sri Ram Mandir
Tulsi Bagh in Pune district is not only famous for its commercial market but also for its ancient Hindu temple called Sri Ram Mandir or temple. The sacred temple is considered among the most visited Ram Mandir or temples in the state of Maharashtra. However, the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Rama but there are also devotees can see other idols such as Lord Hanuman, Goddess Sita and Shiva. The temple is also famous for celebrating Rambavami and dusshera festival. Hence, during the festival time, followers of Lord Rama gather here to have sacred Darshan and blessings of God.
History
The prominent Sri Ram Mandir or temple of Tulsi Bagh was built by Shrimant Appaji Tulshibaughwale who was a nobleman in renowned Peshwa court during in the year of 1761. According to Indian history, Peshwa Naro Appaji played a very significance role in the development of city Puna during the Peshwa kingdom. He constructed various Hindu temples, dams, created revenue system and various significance irrigation schemes in the Peshwa kingdom. Moreover, Sri Ram Mandir of Tulsi Bagh is considered among the most visited Ram Temples in the country.
Weather and time to visit
Pune city enjoys the tropical climate condition. Thus during the winter, the city becomes cold while in summer it becomes humid and hot. Hence, the best time to get there is from the month of March to October. However, during Ramnavami and Dussehara, devotees can also visit to participate in various religious activities held in the temple.
