The Dagadusheth Halwai Datta Mandir is located is Pune district, in the state of Maharashtra. This temple is located in a few minutes distance from the Dagdusheth Halwai Gananpti temple, Pune.
History
The Dagadusheth Halwai Datta Mandir is a hundred years old temple. It is a very famous hindu temple. It is about hundred years ago when one pious lady of Pune whose name was late. Smt. Laxmibai dagdu halwai, on the advice of her Guru who was late Shri Madhavnath of Indore, installed the Datta temple. Shri Madhavnath had visited Pune and was a great devotee of lord Guru Datta. In the old city of Pune, there is a shrine a gadi of Shri Madhavnath. Several disciples of Shri Madhavnath are also scattered in various parts of the country.

This temple is very old and thus very ancient, it is also very unique in its structure. It faces the North direction. The temple is built as per the Vastushastra.
How To Reach
Data temple is located in the city area of Budhwarpeth which is on the Laxmi Road and near the Mahata Phule market, which is also known as Mandai.
By Air
Major of the flights are connected to Pune. Indian airways and Jet airways also provide the facility and can easily reach the city.
By Rail
There are various routes which connect to Pune coming from Mumbai. Some trains come directly to Pune from various cities. There is a well-connected Pune railway station in Pune from where it is easy to reach the temple.

Important Shrines
The shrines in the temple includes the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The datta Deity encompasses around three deities, which is collectively known as Trimurti. The name of dattatreya can be divided into two words names, ‘Datta’ which means ‘Given’ and ‘Atreya’ refers to this physical father, referring to the sage atri.
Significance Of The Temple
The temple is facing the North direction and according to the vastushastra, the direction of Kubera is considered to be the North direction. It is also believed that God from the North direction showers his blessings on his devotees.
The temple has a Datta Trust where the trustees are appointed for a period of five years, who devote their time for the betterment and maintenance of the temple.

The best season to visit the temple is in the seasons from October to March. The climate of Pune is tropical, wet and dry climate but the appropriate and most suitable time to visit the temple is in the months from October to March.
Timings Of The Temple
The temple is open every day. Devotees often come to offer their prayer and visit the temple, especially those who are residing in Pune. Poojas are offered twice in the temple every day, but there is a special pooja being held on every Thursday’s which attract a large number of devotees.
