Maharashtra Bhuleshwar Temple
This 13th century constructed temple is located on a mountain. The temple has been placed among protected monuments of the state. It is also famous for its historical as well as mythological significances. Basically, this temple was constructed as a fort and known as Mangalgadh. According to the Hindu mythology, Maa Parvati danced at this place to attract lord Shiva and then both of them went to their abode Kailash Parvat wherein they got married.
History
It is said that it was damaged by various invaders. However, later it was rebuilt and renovated by many Maratha kings. The construction style of this sacred temple indicates the architecture of Maratha king Shivaji era. The ancient fort on that it is located is known Daulatmangal fort. During 1629, this giant fort was built by Murar Jagdev to watch entire city. Jagdev looted this city during 1630.
Moreover, the temple has also one idol of Lord Ganesha or Ganapathi in female position thus it known as Lambodari or Ganeshwari or Ganeshyani. Mahashivratri, a festival devoted to lord Shiva is highly celebrated in area. Hence, during the festival, devotees or followers of lord Shiva gather here to have Darshan and blessings of Lord Shiva. Moreover, the sacred inscriptions and sculptures in the temple describes about various sacred gods and goddess.

By Air
Chhatrapati Shviaji international airport is the nearest airport hence, from the airport, visitors or pilgrims can hire taxi, car and bus to reach at Bhuleshwar temple.
By Rail
From the nearest railway station (Shivaji nagar) visitors or devotees can hire bus, taxi and cab to reach at the temple.
By Road
Pune city and surrounding area is well linked with all other parts of the state by developed roads. So if visitors or devotees want to use road-transportation then they can easily find buses, cars and taxis throughout the area.
Weather and Time to Visit
Pune city has changeable climate conditions. It means during the summers, it becomes hot and humid and temperature rises to 42 degree Celsius while in winters it becomes chilly and temperature dropping down to 10 degree Celsius. However, monsoons offer good level of rainfalls. So the best time to visit at Bhuleshwar temple is from the month of October to March.
