Kerala Venkatachalapathy Temple
This temple is located in the close vicinity of some other famous temples of Trivandrum district. The area where this temple is located is also called as House of temples as various important and big temples are established in much closed area. Construction date of this temple is 1898. Pooja patterns in all the temples of Kerala are based on Namboodari Sambradayam, though this is one and only temple related with Vaishnav Sambradayam. It is believed that Lord Venkatachalapathy has the deeper connection with Vaishnav Sambradayam. This temple was built under the supervision of King of Travancore irrespective of his being associated with another Sambradayam.
Architecture
Though, this temple is established in Kerala but the architectural style has a vast resemblance as in the temples of the Tamil Nadu. Gopuram has a carving of various idols of gods and goddesses in different postures. At every corner of the Gopuram, a statue of a worshiping saint has been carved. On the top of Gopuram, there is a series of some conical fitments supported with round shaped sun which is often seen in Tamil Nadu and also in the temples of Karnataka. Apart from this, a huge entrance has been provided in this temple with a large boundary wall like forts as surrounding. The same pattern is called “Parkota” in Rajasthan style of construction. A Garbhagriha is also constructed where the presiding deity is seated.
Festivals
In this temple almost the festivals of Vaishnav Sambradayam are organised each year with full devotion and zeal. Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Thiru Aadi Pooram, Aadi Swati Janamashtami, Pongal, Vishu, Onam and Deepavali are also celebrated. On all the occasions, is temple is decorated with fine light and flower work.

Trivandrum airport is the nearest and located at 8 kilometers from this temple.
By Rail
Himsagar, Rajdhani, Howrah and Sabri express including other major trains from remaining parts of India are connected to Trivandrum Central Railway station. This temple is on walking distance from railways station.
By Road
City bus station of Trivandrum is located at 1.5 kilometers from this temple. Urban location provides frequent transports whether govt. transport or private taxi and auto rickshaws at all time.
