Haryana Mata Mansa Devi Mandir
The complex of this sacred Hindu worship place covers a land of around 100 acres. The shrine is located at Shivalik foothills. The temple is only 10 km distance from renowned Chandi Mandir or temple which is also one of the sacred Devi temples in the state. The temple is considered as one of the sacred Shakti temples in northern part of India. During the festival of Navaratra, devotees or followers of Mansa Mata visit the temple to get the blessings of Goddess. Hence, during these nine spiritual days, the temple complex becomes overcrowded with devotees and visitors.
History
The present temple of Mata Mansa devi was built by Gopal Singh, the king of Mani Majra. This sacred Hindu shrine was constructed during 1811 to 1815 AD. The shrine had benefaction of state Mani Majra. However, having merged of this princely reign into independent India, the benefaction of local government was ended and shrine remained neglected. However, after sometime, Mani Majra king appointed a priest Khidmatuzar for the shrine who worships Maa Mansa Devi, the presiding deity of the shrine. However, after the merger of that princely reign into Independent India those priests became free from king’s responsibility and took over the temple. Moreover, those priests greatly neglected the temple but after the establishment of a religious management board, the temple has regained its past glory. Navaratri is the main festival in the area which is highly celebrated by the natives with great enthusiasm and during these nine sacred days the temple becomes a crowded area.

By Air
Visitors or devotees can easily get direct flights from various domestic airports in the country. The nearest airport is situated at Chandigarh and well connected with other parts of the country by air-transport.
By Rail or Train
By using Train-transport, visitors or pilgrims can easily reach at Mata Mansa Devi Mandir or temple. Chandigarh railway station is the nearest airport to the temple.
By Road
District Panchkula is well connected with all other major cities or towns of the country by developed roads. Hence, visitors can easily get road-transportation such as buses, cabs and taxis to reach at Shrine. However, visitors or devotees can also use their private vehicles to reach at the sacred shrine.
Weather and Time to Visit
The climate conditions of district Panchkula is very changeable. It means, during the winters, temperature becomes cool and chilly while in summers it becomes hot and scorching. However, monsoon provides average rain falls in the area. Hence the best time to visit at Mata Mansa Devi Mandir or temple is during the festival season of Navaratri. During these nine sacred days, devotees or pilgrims have chance to pour themselves with the divine power.
