Andhra Pradesh Yadagirigutta Narasimha Swamy Temple
Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple is situated in the Nalgonda district and close to the state capital Hyderabad. This temple is dedicated to Sri Narsimha Swamy who is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This temple is located on a hillock and due to its peculiar location, a large numbers of devotees and visitors come here on daily basis. In this temple, business keeps on throughout the year as the deity has some religious formalities in all the seasons. Another name of Lord Narsimha is Yadagiri and the name is also derived from that designation.
History
It is believed that a sage named Yadarishi lived in this area in ancient period. His father Rishyasrunga and mother Santa Devi made a long penance from Lord Hanuman. The couple meditated till a long period in a cave. Lord Vishnu pleased on their worship and gave Darshan to them in five different incarnations. These five forms of Lord Vishnu were called Pancha Narsimha Kshetram. In the other religious books like Skandha Purana, the depiction of this temple is found. It has a general belief that all the sages worshipped Lord Narsimha with full devotion. This place has also been famous as the place of meditation and worship by various sages. According to another story, Yada’s penance was accepted by Sriman Narayana and he ordered Lord Hanuman to take along the sage to such a place where Yada may get the Divya Darshan of Lord. Yada rishi was accordingly taken to a hillock which is approximately 5 kilometers from the existing temple building. At this spot, Yada got the Divya Darshan of the Lord and initiated to construct a temple.
Architecture
Architecture of the temple is wordless. A tall Gopuram of White marble having 6 stories is visible from far end of the location. To accommodate and provide ease to the devotees, three large sheds have been created with the help of Perspex sheet of blue color. Main entrance through Gopuram has a corridor of Perspex sheet. The exterior of the Gopuram has fine carvings. At sufficient before the temple complex a wide gate has been constructed covering a four lane road is also made of white marble. Garbhagriha of the temple has a Golden Sudarshana Chakra of Lord Vishnu. This Chakra is created in almost square shape. Apart from the architectural description, it is believed that the Chakra was moved once towards the direction from where the devotees used to enter in the temple. It was not only by chance but a set guidance was provided to the devotees by Lord Vishnu himself. Golden Sudarshana Chakra is kept on the top of Garbhagriha. The Garbhagriha is located into a deep stone cut cave.
Festival
In this temple Bramhotsawam and Rathotsawam are celebrated each year. In the month of March and April, this festival conducted. On 28th April of each year, celebration of Lord Narsimha’s birthday is conducted in huge gatherings across the country.

By Air
Hyderabad is the nearest airport located at 61 kilometers from this temple. Bus & rail services are frequently available to reach this temple from airport of Hyderabad.
By Rail
Raigiri is the nearest railway station and located at 3 kilometers distance. Normal passenger trains are connected to this station. Auto rickshaw and Tangas are available to reach temple location. Though, for catching express trains, one will have to move to Bhongir railway station located at 14 kilometers from this place.
By Road
Road connectivity is in better condition. Yadagirigutta is 60 kilometers from Hyderabad and various state highways connect the place from other major cities.
