Brief Description
Masala Kulcha is a North Indian Cuisine. Kulchas which are made up of infuse Maida are made stuffed with onion and spices and served with Pickle and Chana.
Total Preparation Time 10 minutes Total Cooking Time 15 minutes Servings 4 Ingredients of Masala Kulcha
For Kulcha
- All Purpose Flour- 300 gram
- Yogurt- 2 Table spoon
- Salt- 1/2 Table spoon
- Baking Powder- 1/4 table spoon
- Ghee- 1 table spoon
For Stuffing
- Potatoes- 250 gm
- Chopped Chili - 1 table spoon
- Salt -1 table spoon
- Coriander Leaves Chopped Finely- 1/2 cup
- Juice of Lemon- 1/2 table Spoon
- For Kulcha Making- Butter/ Oil
How to make Masala Kulcha
- Add baking powder, Ghee, yogurt, salt to flour.
- Now, prepare the soft dough with water and yeast and leave it aside for 2 hours.
- Boil the potatoes and mesh them very smoothly for the filling.
- Now, mix the remaining masala to make a mixture.
- Prepare small balls from dough, give them a disc shape and put potato filling on it.
- Seal its edges to give it a ball shape.
- Lastly, roll it to thick paratha and bake on griddle by applying ghee or oil.
Some Useful Tips
- While frying the poori, with help of frying spoon press the center of poori lightly, to make it puff up.
- Chole masala is a blend of spices which is readily available at most grocery stores.
