Brief Description
A very popular recipe named Cooker Naans are traditionally cooked in a Tandoor or earthern oven but they can also be prepared at home in your oven. These delicious bread hot are served with popular dishes like Kebabs or Tandoori Chicken of different kinds. The dough required for Naans should be made in advance. Cooker Naan can be prepared by following this simple recipe.
Total Preparation Time 10 minutes Total Cooking Time 10 minutes Servings 4 Ingredients of Cooker Naan
- Maida - 500 gms
- Fresh Yeast -20 gms
- Sugar -1-1/2 tsp
- Fresh Curd -2 tbsp
- Butter, Ghee or Margarine -25 gms
- Salt-1 tsp
How to make Cooker Naan
- Clean the flour thoroughly and mix it with salt, ghee and curd.
- Mix yeast and sugar in 1 teacup of warm water until the yeast gets dissolved.
- Keep the mixture covered for 5-7 minutes till froth appears.
- This liquid should now be poured into the flour mixture.
- Some warm water should be added to make the dough softer.
- The dough needs to be kneadded for about 5-10 minutes.
- Now use the wet cloth to wrap the dough for half an hour.
- Now again knead the dough for about 1 minute.
- Now cut 20 small pieces of the dough and make them of naan shape.
- Now smear a pressure cooker with a small quantity of oil and then remove its lid and heat it upside down.
- Now use a little amount of water on either side and now the wet side should be attached around the inner wall of the cooker.
- Cooking should be done until some brownish spots starts appearing.
- Take naan out from the cooker and now apply butter.
- Now Naans are ready to eat.

Some Useful Tips
Now pooris can be prepared by the same just as you do with those normal regular pooris. Cumin seeds can also be added in dough.
