Statue Of Padmasambhava In Rewalsar
Located in a place called Rewalsar in Himachal Pradesh, the Statue of Padmasambhava is a one of its kind statue, in which most of the construction work was done manually. Machines have done very little work in the whole construction and so, it is a very important statue for the locals.
Construction
For the construction of statue, the local labors were called upon, which also provided them regular work until the time the construction of the statue got over. Since most of the work was done manually, the number of laborers also increased. Artists were called upon from Nepal and Bhutan, who sculpted the statue when it was still wet to give it a fine look. The painters were called from Nepal who used their experience and expertise to paint the statue with spray as well as brush paints.
How to Reach
By Road
You can reach Rewalsar easily from road by taking a bus or a taxi. It is 24 kilometers away from Mandi, from where the conveyance can be found. The new road lane is also being constructed for the convenience of the travelers.
By Rail
Kiratpur is the nearest railway station from Rewalsar and is approximately 150 kilometers away. You can find trains to the nearby stations easily.
By Air
Bhuntar is the nearest airport from Rewalsar. The airport is 63 kilometers away from Mandi and you can easily find conveyance from there and reach the airport to catch the flight. The airport is well connected with the big cities in India.
