IPCL Sports Complex Ground or also called the Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. Sports Complex Ground is Baroda based finest cricket stadium in India. It is in close proximity to the Vadodra city center, approximately 10 kilometers away while is also called as the Reliance Stadium since presently it in under the ownership of Reliance Company. Established in the year 1992, this stadium serves as the home ground to the Baroda Cricket Team.
Vadodra is an abode to some well known Indian cricketers like Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, Kiran More, Anshuman Gaekwad, and Vijay Hazare. Till now this stadium has hosted ten ODI matches. Considered as one the four 1st class and 2 international grounds, IPCL Sports Complex Ground is a part of the vast sprawling IPCL complex. The ground of this stadium is maintained by the IPCL and is much preferred for playing cricket matches over the old Moti Bagh Stadiums.
History
Established in the year 1992, IPCL Sports Complex Ground was set up by the IPCL i.e. Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. Presently under the ownership of Reliance this stadium is also called the Reliance Stadium in Baroda, Gujarat. Having hosted first One Day International Match on 28th October 1994, between India and New Zealand, IPCL Sports Complex Ground has hosted ten ODIs so far. Earlier this stadium was owned by an industrial unit. The stadium is a part of the IPCL complex which is located just 10 kilometers away from Vadodra city center.
The administration of this ground is very efficient and all thanks to the engagement of the business houses. This stadium hosted its last ODI in 2010, when India conquered New Zealand by nine wickets. Having hosted 10 matches by now, this stadium stands as one of the four 1st class stadiums in Vadodra, besides this stadium has also been a high scoring venue on many occasions. Sachin Tendulkar, one of the legendary batsmen scored three centuries in six of the ODIs that have been played here, while was also awarded with Man of the Match award in three occasions.

The ground of IPCL Sports Complex Ground is considered to be one of the finest cricket grounds in India. With seating capacity of 15,000 spectators, this stadium is much preferred over the Moti Bagh Stadium for playing ODI matches. It has well equipped dressing room, player’s room, pavilion, and meeting rooms. Since there are no floodlights on the ground of this stadium, night ODI’s cannot be played here.

IPCL Sports Complex Ground undergoes regular repair and maintenance. It is said that the State Government is making efforts to further make this stadium world class. It is ready to sanction funds for revamping the entire look of the stadium. Till now this stadium has excellent ground and is considered as one of the four first-class stadiums in Vadodra.
