Introduction
Located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, ACA-CDVA Stadium was established in the year 2003 by the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association. Recognized as a multi-purpose stadium, this stadium is best due to its world class facilities. The picturesque of this stadium ground is impeccable as it is set on the outskirts of the region, amid the scenic hills. Having hosted only four ODI and few other IPL matches, this stadium has become very popular.
ACA-CDVA Stadium has a 2 tier infrastructure and is designed in a manner that the sight of match in action is never obstructed, no matter what your seating location is. This stadium has one of the best batting tracks and owning to this, it has become the most preferred grounds by the BCCI for hosting ODI together with other league matches.
History
ACA-CDVA Stadium is also known as Andhra Cricket Association – Vishakhapatnam District Cricket Association Stadium. Set up in the year 2003, the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh is the owner of this stadium. As a multi-purpose stadium, only four ODIs have been held here by so far. Used mainly for playing cricket matches, this stadium is now selected as a cricket venue for upcoming IPL matches. In the year 2011, this stadium hosted a healthy number of matches that belonged to the World Cup Series.
The ACA-CDVA Stadium though was set up in 2003, but was given the status of Test Cricket in 2007. The first One Day International played here, on the grounds of ACA-CDVA Stadium was between India and Pakistan on 5th April 2005. Even though this stadium has been blessed with the status of test cricket, yet the stadium has never hosted a single international test match.
How to Reach
The ACA-CDVA Stadium is located in the city Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Famous for its exquisite picturesque, this stadium is encircled by mountains on all its sides. Considered as the third biggest stadium in South India, it is easily accessible and is in close proximity to the railway station, airport and bus stand.
Known as one of the most prominent stadiums in India, one can reach the stadium by taking any mode of conveyance. The stadium is located very close to the Vishakhapatnam Airport. Interested people can reach the stadium by boarding a train, as railways is a common mode of conveyance here. Other modes of transport include private cars and buses. It is worth noticing that the stadium is located on national highway five near a suburb called Madhurawada.

The ground of this stadium is used for playing cricket matches only.
Renovation
The ACA-CDVA Stadium is built and designed beautifully keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of the spectators. After a renovation that took place few years back, this stadium now stands as one of the best and world class stadiums in India. It has modern facilities and features now, accommodating nearly 45,000 spectators. Earlier the stadium had no floodlights but after recent renovations, this stadium is now all set for day and night cricket matches. The stadium has two ends – North Block End and Pavilion End. The renovation and other necessary changes are managed by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh.
