Brief Description
Pathiri is the important part of local cuisine among the Mappilas of North Malabar in Kerala state of southern India. Rice, which is crushed, made into white dough and then baked on pans that are called as oadu. After preparation sometimes, it is soaked in coconut milk to keep it soft and to improve its flavor. Pathiri take time in cooking only 25-30 mins and for preparing its material 15 mins for three serves.
Cooking Time 25-30 mins Preparation Time 15 mins Serves 2 Ingredients For Pathiri:-
To make Pathiri some ingredients are given here.
Firstly, we take 2 cups of Rice Flour used normal ‘Swad’ rice flour available to us from Indian Groceries a then 2 cups of water and salt as per your taste.
For Grinding:-
- Take 1 Cup of Grated Coconut.
- Five Shallots.
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera.
How To Make Pathiri:-
- For cooking pathiri, firstly we take mix “flour of rice”, “salt” as per taste and add water for making the batter
- Firstly, cut the “banana” in to small pieces; use oil to fry them, and keep aside to use.
- Take cashew nut and kismis then fry both in ghee.
- After that add coconut, sugar mixture, cook it properly then put to aside for later use.
- Take frying pan then heat that, after heating frying pan decant the flour of rice,and spread it properly
- After that put the mixture of sugar and coconut with the batter and use, it fast before it dries.
- At last, that mixture turns and cooks both of the surfaces. Put oil on the sides and corners and after it is cooked properly take it down.

Some Useful Tips:-
To make good Pathiri we use the better quality of ingredients and follow the idea to make it. We use the best quality of banana and dry fruits to make good Pathiri.
