Cream Tomato Soup
Brief Description
Creamy tomato soup is a rich and very delightful recipe. This soup goes very well with croutons and breads. Follow the directions provided below to prepare this recipe in a simple and easy manner.
Time to Prepare 5 minutes Time for cooking 15 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Cream Tomato Soup
- chopped tomatoes- 4 cups
- bayleaf- 1
- whole peppercorns- 2 to 3
- refined flour- 1 tbsp
- butter- 1 ½ tbsp
- tomato puree- ¼ cup
- sugar- 1 tsp
- cream-1 ½ tbsp
- salt as needed
- pepper, freshly ground- ¼ tsp
How To Make Cream Tomato Soup
- Take a pan and put in tomatoes, peppercorns and bay leaf with a cup of boiling water.
- Let it simmer for ten minutes or till the tomatoes are soft.
- Once done take out the bay leaf and let the mixture cool down before pureeing it. Set is aside.
- Take another pan and heat butter. Add in the refined flout and let it cook over low heat for a minute.
- Slowly add 1 cup of water while stirring continuously. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Add in the pureed mixture, salt, sugar, tomato puree, pepper and let it boil.
- Mix in the cream.
- Garnish with fresh cream and serve it hot with croutons.
