Cabbage Soup
Brief Description
The cabbage soup is a special recipe for those who want to work on their weight and wish to do dieting. Just follow the recipe provided below to prepare this recipe in simple and easy manner.
Time to Prepare 15 minutes Time for cooking 30 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Cabbage Soup
- large green onions- 6
- green peppers- 2
- tomatoes- 1 or 2 cans
- carrots- 3
- mushrooms- 10 oz
- celery
- cabbage- half head
- soup mix, spice only- 1 pack
- bouillon- 2 cubes
- Low Sodium V8 juice- 1 can
- Pepper as needed
- Parsley as needed
- Curry powder as needed
- garlic powder as needed
- Salt as needed
How To Make Cabbage Soup
- Take a pot, sprinkle some oil in it and set it on medium flames. Put in sliced onions sauté till they turn white in color.
- Slice green peppers into small pieces after deseeding them. Put in the pot
- Shred the cabbage and put it into the pot.
- Wash and clean carrots, celery and mushrooms. Cut them into small pieces and add in the pot. Put in tomatoes too.
- For making the soup spicy one can also add cayenne pepper or curry powder.
- Finally use a soup mix, spice only or chicken bouillon cubes,
- Pour in 12 cups of water or 8 cups water and 1 can of sodium V8 juice. Turn the flames to low and let the soup simmer for 2 hours.
