Plain Basmati Rice
Brief Description
Plain basmati Rice is a tasty rice recipe. Basmati rice is usually served with north Indian vegetable currries or raitas. To know how to prepare this recipe you just need to follow this simple method.
Time to Prepare 15 minutes Cooking Time 15 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Plain Basmati Rice
- Two cups of basmati rice
- Two cups of water
- Small amount of Salt
How To Make Plain Basmati Rice
- Firstly wash and clean the rice properly for 2 to 3 times. Put it in a bowl and add two cups of cold water in the bowl and leave it for about 30minutes. Now with the help of a sieve drain the rice and save the soaked water from the sieve.
- Take a pan add basmati rice, salt and some soaking water in it. Start boiling it and stir it in between. Cover the recipe properly and leave it to cook for 15mins on low flame or till the time it completely absorbs water.
- Now remove it from heat and leave it to stand for about 10mins.
- With the help of a fork gently fluff the basmati rice and serve it well with vegetable curry.
