Alwar district is one of districts located in Rajasthan state in northern India. The district’s total area is up to 8,380kms. Alwar is bounded on the east by bharatpur, on to the west by Jaipur districts, where as to the north by Haryana State and on south by Dausa. Alwar district headquarters is located in the city of Alwar that comes under Jaipur division.

According to the 2011 census Alwar had 3,671,999 populations. In the year 1956 India has recorded the temperature as 50.6’C in the history of Alwar district.

In the Ancient Indian History, Alwar district had a special place. This is the place reminds the story of Hiranyakasyap and Prahalad and the other is about Pandavas who lived in hidden exile for one year in Virat Nagar. Gurjar Pratihars and their allies Badgujars are the rulers of Alwar who gained the prominence to this district. Gurjar–Pratihara was known as the Northern Indian Empire. Previously this town was also known as Matsyanagara or city of fish.

Alwar consists of many tourist attraction spots. There is a huge turn over on industries that are located in this district works with Ashok Leyland, kajaria Ceramics, Pepsi and Perryware. This city is more famous for the supply of onions and mustard seeds.

It is said that Bala Qilla Fort, which is located in Aravali hills was never been conquered or invaded by any king till the day. There are several forts, temples and museums that have a good collection of paintings, old weapons and amours etc to attract tourists.
