Okra Raita
Brief Description
Okra Raita is a delicious Raita. Okra Raita can be served as salad also with a yogurt base. Serve Okra Raita with dry vegetable curries or with lentils. Learn how to prepare Okra Raita by following the simple steps given below.
Preparation Time 20 minutes Cooking Time 25 minutes Serves 4-6 serves Ingredients for the recipe
- Bhindi or Okra – 2 to 3
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds – half tsp
- Asafetida – quarter tsp
- Chat Masala to taste
- Salt and Red Chili Powder to taste
- Yogurt – 2 small cups
- Chopped Cilantro
- Chopped Green Chilies to taste
How To Make The Recipe
- Take Bhindi. Wash them properly and cut their ends.
- Grind them in a grinder properly.
- Take a pan and add oil to it. Heat it and after that add mustard oil to it.
- After that, add Asafetida and chopped Bhindi.
- Then add Chat Masala, red Chili Powder and Salt according to your taste and mix them well.
- Then cook Bhindi for 10 – 15 minutes to get crunchy taste. But keep stirring them while cooking.
- After that put that okra to a bowl and keep aside for cooling.
- Take another bowl, whisk the Yogurt and add Salt, Cilantro & Green Chilies to it and mix.
- Okra Raita is ready.
Some Useful Tips
- Place yogurt and Bhindi separately and mix them immediately before serving for the crunchy taste.
