Brief Description
Sweet poori is a very simple but delicious sweet that looks like a crispy juicy mini puri finely dipped in the sugar syrup. Usually referred as Pheni but called by different names in other languages as per their regions. India is known for preparing variety of sweets. Every festival, region have its own sweet delicacy and which are unique in their own way.
Total Preparation Time 10 minutes Total Cooking Time 15 minutes Servings 4 Ingredients of Sweet Poori
- Maida-250 grams
- Sugar-125 grams
- Small Quantity of Milk
- Til (Sesame Seeds)- 1 tea spoon
- Small Amount of Cardamom Powder
- Ghee-150 grams
How to make Sweet Poori
- Firstly boil sugar and milk. Now add some ghee to the maida and rub it well. Add some amount of sweetened milk and knead it to form it into hard dough.
- Now add til in it, and then the cardamom powder and Knead it well.
- Now start dividing the dough into small balls shape and roll each ball into thin puris and then start frying it on a low flame. The puris prepared should be white and crispy.

Some Useful Tips
- The centre part should be pressed lightly with the frying pan while frying the puri, this will help it in puffing up.
