Among many Indian recipes, one of the most popular Indian recipe is Aloo Ki Puri. One can enjoy these delicious puris with Aloo ki Subji. Basically from the starting Puris are considered as a treat for all occasions including marriages, naming ceremony of new born, worship of family deities, birth, festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dasshera, Ganesh Pooja, Sindhara, Teej etc. Now to prepare Alu Ki Poori one needs to follow this easy recipe.
Total Preparation Time 20 minutes Total Cooking Time 15 minutes Servings 4 Ingredients of Aloo Ki Puri
- Plain Flour-2 Cups
- Salt-1Tbsp
- Water as Per Requirement
For Filling
- Boiled Potatoes-4 of medium size
- Green Chilies -3 (Properly Chopped)
- Turmeric Powder-1/4Tbsp
- Add Red Chilli Powder According to Taste
- Vegetable Oil as Per Necessity
- Add Salt According to Taste
How to make Aloo Ki Puri
- Clean the flour and add some salt to it.
- Peel off the potatoes and then mash them and add it in flour.
- Now add some water and work it properly to make dough soft.
- Add some green chillies to mixture and mix it well.
- Now combine all the remaining ingredients with the mixture & mix it well.
- Make dough into small balls and roll one ball and convert it into small puri form.
- Now put a little amount of potato mixture over the small puri and make sure it is closed properly from all sides.
- Now roll it softly to convert into a puri shape.
- Now it should be placed in hot oil for deep-frying until the time it blow up.
- Finally these hot Puris are ready to serve.
Aloo Ki Puri
Some Useful Tips
Continue making these pooris just as you do with normal regular pooris. Cumin seeds can also be added in dough. To make it sweet cardamom can be added in the mixture
