Introduction
Rashtriya Lok Dal is a kind of revolutionary and political party flourishing in India. The president of this powerful party is Chaudhary Ajit Singh. This president is continuing the political legacy of Charan Singh, the former prime minister of India and the real Lok Dal.
Rashtriya Lok Dal party enjoys a heavy influence in the regions lying in the western parts of Uttar Pradesh and has played an important role in the building of the UP government. From the years of 2002 to 2007, this party comprises of six influential ministers inducted in the government of Uttar Pradesh and its powerful legislators retained pertinent portfolios. In the year of 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Rashtriya Lok Dal party formed an alliance with the popular party, Samajwadi party. This party polled 2,463,607 votes and could win only three seats. Under the influence of Samajwadi party, this party could contest seats only in the regions lying in the western part of UP state, which is mainly dominated by the community of Jats.
In the year of 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Rashtriya Lok Dal party formed an alliance with the BJP party. This party could win only five seats. Under the influence of BJP party, this party could contest only seven seats in the regions lying in the western parts of UP state.
On December 12th 2011, the Rashtriya Lok Dal party formed an alliance with the United Progressive Alliance after having met with Sonia Gandhi, the Indian National Congress party and Dr. Manmohan Singh, the present prime minister of India.
Controversies and Criticism
The Rashtriya Lok Dal party has proved a boon to Jan Lokpal Bill of Anna Hazare, a well-known social activist. While talking to reporters in state capital of UP, Lucknow, on Thursday, Ajit Singh, the president of the party admitted that the opposition is totally against the bill, which the government of UPA wants to table in Sansad, the parliament. It is very clear that the current bill is likely to be withdrawn from the very beginning. Ajit Singh made a clear confession about supporting the Jan Lokpal bill.
The concerned election authorities gave a clean chit to Jaywant Chowdhury, who was seen on camera taking bribe from a local leader hailing from Mathura and also rapping the moral code of conduct. “After thorough examination, it has been witnessed that there were no endeavors for obtaining the electorate by proffering money to manage polls.” ,admitted Anita Meshram, joint chief electoral officer.

Chaudhary Ajit Singh is a powerful politician of Indian. In other words, he is also called as Jat leader hailing from Western region of UP state. This leader was inducted as civil aviation minister on December 18th 2011 after his well-known party, RLD along with five prominent members belonging to Lok Sabha made an alliance with the UPA government. This leader is also known to have laid the foundation of RLD party. He is also chief of this party. His party, RLD is a conspicuous party in the state of UP. This leader took his birth on February 12th 1939 at village, called as Bhadola, which is located in Meerut district lying in the state of UP. His father’s name is Choudhary Charan Singh, who was Jat leader and prime minister of India. This leader enjoys a married life and is a father of two daughters and one son. Jayant Chaudhary, his son, is a member belonging to 15th Lok Sabha.

Jayant Chaudhary, who was born on December 27th 1978, is a well-known Indian leader. This leader is also the General Secretary of RLD party and Member of Parliament, thereby representing Mathura, a city lying in UP state in the 15th Lok Sabha.
Charan Singh, a former prime minister of India is grandfather of this leader. Ajit Singh, a former union minister of India, is father of this leader. He has a mater degree, M.Sc. from a reputed college, London School of Economics.
This leader is counted among the prime movers on the issue of Land Acquisition and credit goes to him for introduction of bill of private member on land acquisition in the lower house of the parliament, Lok Sabha.
Sanjay Singh Chauhan
Sanjay Singh Chauhan, who was born on October 10th 1961, is a powerful Indian politician. This member an energetic member of RLD party and is also a member of parliament, thereby representing Bijnor, a city lying in UP state in the 15th Lok Sabha. This leader is also known to be a member of state legislative assembly of UP state from the years 1996 to 2001.
Chaudhary Narain Singh, an Ex Deputy CM of UP state, is father of this leader. He has a degree of B.A., LLB from S.D. Degree College and D.A.V. Degree College of Muzaffar Nagar and Choudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.
