Sweet Tinda Pickle
Brief Description

Preparation Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 15 minutes Number of Serves 4-6 Ingredients For Sweet Tinda Pickle
- Tinda- 1 ¼ kg
- Red chili pepper- 3 tsp
- Black pepper- 2 tsp
- Mustard powder- 8 tsp
- Ground spices- 3 tsp
- Tamarind- 60 grams
- Ground Ginger- 2 tsp
- Onions- 2
- Jaggery- 180 grams
- Mustard Oil- 1 ½ cups
- Vinegar- 1 cup
- Salt to taste
How To Make Sweet Tinda Pickle
- Keep the tamarind soaked in vinegar.
- Grind onions and garlic together.
- Take a pan and heat oil. Fry garlic and onion paste till it turns light brown.
- Put in red chili pepper, tinda and ginger and fry them.
- Add in spices, salt, mustard, pepper, vinegar, tamarind and crushed jaggery and cook for a few min.
- Let it cool down and transfer to a jar. Keep it under the sun for 3 days and keep shaking it often.
Some Useful Tips
- Depending upon the season the pickle may take less or more time for maturity.
