Stuffed Mango Pickle
Brief Description
Stuffed mango pickle is same as simple mango pickle but with additional spices and a stuffing for extra spicy kick. It goes extremely well with paranthas, rice and theplas. Directions for preparing this recipe have been provided below.
Preparation Time 15 minutes Cooking Time 20 minutes Number of Serves 1 jar Ingredients For Stuffed Mango Pickle
- 1 kg Mangoes
- 4 tsp Mustard powder
- 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds powder
- 2 tsp Red chili pepper
- 4 tsp Aniseed powder
- 1 tsp Onions seeds powder
- A pinch of Asafetida
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp Ajwain
- ¼ litre Mustard Oil
- Salt as needed
How To Make Stuffed Mango Pickle
- Wash and clean the mangoes.
- Cut the mangoes into four but not completely, keep the base intact. Remove seeds and rub salt on the insides of mangoes and set it aside for 10 hrs.
- Now heat up oil in a pan and sprinkle asafetida in it and toss in all the grund spices to prepare the spicy stuffing for mangoes.
- Use this spice mixture to fill the mangoes and put them into a jar. Put in any leftover spice mixture too.
- For a few days keep it under the sun.

- Keep shaking the jar from time to time.
