Pickled Mustard Greens
Brief Description
This sour pickle is a traditional Chinese dish. Pickled mustard greens are often served along with meat recipes in Japan, China and Korea. Learn how to make this recipe in simple manner by following this recipe.
Preparation Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 40 minutes Number of Serves 4 Ingredients For Pickled Mustard Greens
- Sugar- 2 tbsp
- Salt- 1 tbsp
- White vinegar- ¼ cup
- Asian mustard greens- ½ lb.
- Green serrano chilies- 3
How To Make Pickled Mustard Greens
- Heat 2 cups water in a saucepan and add salt, vinegar and sugar. Bring it to a boil and then remove from heat.
- Use a knife to remove leaves from the mustard greens. Then cut the stem into 2 inch pieces and chop up the leaves.
- Take a jar and pack it with chilies, leaves and stems of mustard greens. Pour over the sauce prepared earlier. Seal it and refrigerate for 3 days.
